I have 4 DVR's F6 series and We just bought 2 new HD 3.0 DVR's We could watch all of our cameras from all of the F6 series through 1 application simultaneously with the HD CMS App but the HD 3. uses X-CMS App . Do I now need 2 Computers 1 for each App?

Your Night Owl device is not compatible with all of our applications. Rather, it is only compatible with a specific App for remote viewing. We do have several Apps in the App Store and Google Play Store. However, these Apps are intended for specific devices, not universal. If you have two or more systems that use different apps, then the cameras from each system cannot be viewed on one screen at the same time. Thank you for choosing Night Owl!

I have an AHD7 system with 720p cameras, looking to upgrade my DVR to this DVR-X3-8 so I can install the biggest hard drive it will hold. 1 What’s the most TB? 5400 or 7200 rpm? Seems only 8TB & up has 7200. 2.5 or 3.5 inch? WD or a Skyhawk brand work?

I have this DVR (DVR-X3-8) in the kit: XHD301-84P. Is it possible to flip/rotate the camera view after the camera is installed? I need to flip the view 90 degrees after a tech installed. Please advise.

There are multiple record settings. But, the system is defaulted to motion record, meaning that only the camera that is sensing the motion event will record. If you want to switch to 24/7 record or scheduled record, you have that option for the cameras as well. Thank you for choosing Night Owl!

Yes, this system should power back on and revert to your saved settings when power is restored. However, you will want to protect against damage that can be caused by power surges and spikes. This DVR will run TVI, CVBS, CVI, and analog, 1080p and 720p cameras! I have the 16 channel and run 2 PTZ cameras one that's a TVI, and one CVI, the other 9 cameras are the night owl analog 1080p heat based PIC HD 10W-BU.... That's what I really like about this DVR you can run different cameras simultaneously!

My current Security DVR requires static addresses and port forwarding. Does this model require both of these or is it able to route the video another way? I am switching my router to the new mesh type that doesn't allow PF.
