If you run two 8 channel, 8 camera systems using the WNVR201-88P-B, will each unit recognize its own cameras? How does each unit know which of the 16 cameras to sync with? Also, how do we install more TB memory in the NVR, internal or external?

The cameras are pre-paired to the NVR. If there is any issue syncing or another camera is added at a later date, you may have to alter the Wi-fi Channel within the NVR firmware so there is no issue pairing. The HDD can be upgraded to a MAX 4TB Internal SATA HDD 2.5" / 3.5" minimum 7200 RPM. If you have any issue with pairing, you can call our 24/7 technical support team at 1-866-390-1303. How are alerts received / viewed by user? Are they "live" / instant notification to user or does user get alerts only when they open the app (past after the fact) ? Thanks

Great question. The app for this system will direct you to live view for the camera that detected the motion. So... when you get an alert and swipe it open, the app will display live feed for a single camera. This allows you to see what is currently going on at the scene. You then have the ability to access the Playback menu to view the recording. Thank you for choosing Night Owl!

Will the phone app be able to manage 4 security hubs of the same model? I mean, if i bought 4 units of WNVR201-88P-B with a total of 32 cameras, can I use the phone app to explore all 4 units smoothly?

With the Night Owl X application, it will allow you to connect all of the WNVR to is, however, it will only allow you to view a maximum of 16 cameras at the same time. Can the NVR antennas be extended remotely to provide more line-of-sight connectivity?  For example can you install the NVR in a secure, locked room and have the antennas on the roof?  I’m concerned the locked room would block wireless connection.

Is this system capable of locking out certain users to only view cameras away from home and not change main settings?

When adding additional users they will only be able to view the cameras live feed, the administrator of the WNVR will be the only user able to make any changes to the main settings. Thank you for choosing Night Owl.

Does this system allow real time video monitoring at all times while recording motion when needed? If so what are the frame rates at 1080P. I have 12meg a sec up and 115 down speeds for my net 100' outside my home.

With the WNVR system, it will allow you to do real-time video monitoring while it records motion when needed. The current internet connection you have will allow you to have a smooth remote connection with your cameras.
