I love it being a rental property it no major wires to connect or drilling into the main building. Just a electric cord and no internet is needed unless you want to have access to your phone then internet is needed. It comes with DRV that records 24/7. When it rains or high winds there is no effect on the view of the camera. The best thing you can relocate them anywhere or take them with you when you moved. I love to access it when you are away from home but you will need internet access to do that. You can zoomed in and out plus the night vision is awesome.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what we were needing! I saw several negative reviews about this product that almost discouraged me from purchasing. I decided to go with it because of the 24/7 recording capabilities. I am very glad I did. I have the 4 cameras spaced around my property. I wheeled the areas off to be certain I was within the 300’ wireless connection range. Two are at 260 and 280 feet from the DVR and the other two are within 60’ of the DVR. All 4 perform great with video and audio recordings. Night vision is good. The ease of setting up is awesome. The setup wizard walks you through each step.

The unit was easy to install along with the cameras. Display quality is fantastic, i can watch a squirrel over 30 meters away. .

Can I add a battery powered camera to this system?

No, this system is not compatible with our wire free cameras. You would need a WNIP2 or BTWN8 Series Wi-Fi NVR to use our wire free cameras. Thank you for the question.

Does this come with the monitor

Are the cameras water proof. like if i put them outside and they are exposed directly to rain without a cover are they Okay?

These cameras are intended for indoor and outdoor use. When installing the cameras outside, we recommend placing them under some type of minimal protection such as an eave or awning. The cameras are weather-resistant, not waterproof (meaning they cannot be submerged underwater). If they are overexposed to the elements it will reduce their lifespan. For your product's weather-resistant rating and operating temperature range, please check your product's specifications on the packaging or the product page at NightOwlSP.com. can i access these from my iphone remotely

Once you have our App downloaded and configured on your Smart Device, you will be able to view your system from anywhere in the world. Keep in mind, you must have your device connected to the Internet in order to view remotely. Additionally, please note that Internet speeds will affect your ability to view from a Smart Device (Smartphone, Tablet) or Computer (PC or Mac). When the drive is full will it record over what is there and start over? If not what do you do?

By default, our DVR/NVRs are set to auto-overwrite when the HDD becomes full. This means the system will start recording over older footage to accommodate new recordings. You can deselect this option from within the Main Menu. Note, without this option selected, your product will stop recording when the HDD becomes full. Thank you for choosing Night Owl!
