Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have 2 of these I have two of these outdoor cameras and the dvr. They work great. Everyone I show is impressed by the resolution at day and also at night. The only issue I have are shadows. I have some palm trees and in the wind their shadows set of the motion detection. One more thing is that spiders like to make their webs in front of the camera to catch the bugs around the infrared light, so I have to clean them regularly. Oh and I wish I could scrub the video in the software. I have my cameras continously recording and if I want to jump forward in the video I can't. I plan on adding 2 more cameras to use the other 2 channels on my dvr. I have Ring doorbell and the camera quality is terrible, I might get a Night owl doorbell as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A lot of Great Features The Night Owl 1080p Wi-Fi smart security system arrived with easy to follow hookup and installation instructions and with all parts accounted for. We mounted 2 of the cameras on the outside of the house and 2 on a large shed outside. The cameras video is very clear and the spotlights work nicely. We already have captured a video of several deer in the backyard and a bear drinking out of our hummingbird feeder. I really like the two way audio feature especially for the camera by the front door. It’s also nice to know if I want to expand I have an additional 6 channels I can use with a 1TB hard drive. I’m so happy with this system and the security it has brought my family!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bang for your buck I just bought the system on Saturday because on Thursday night I had a tire and rim stolen off my car. I have been wanting a system that was with in a specific price range and never really looked at Walmart untill Saturday. I seen these and bought them. I love how now I can view from my phone or off my TV in my bed room. Live 24/7 feed no matter where I am. Along with now I can catch who ever stole my stuff. Wish I would have found these before my rim and tire was stolen. Will be buying 5 more to finish up the 8 channel. They have a customer for life now.

Over all I'm pleased with how well this wireless system works, I was worried that with a brick home it would have problems getting signals to the base unit but so far its picking up a clean feed 80 to 90 feet away through brick. The only reason i give it 4 star and not 5 is software for cms connect partially working, I get a clean live feed but playback of an event does not work. I have latest versions of android and cms software reinstalled and checked all settings still only plays back events some of the time so mabey they will keep working on software development. Playback on base unit works without problem.

So I decided to give night owl a try. This doorbell captures everything and sends me alerts, for free. I can also speak with someone at the door through the app. Very happy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Outstanding Camera Quality Both Day and Night! Fast delivery of product as shown and promised. Cameras were easy to install, but the DVR/NVR setup was not all that simple or as easy as expected. After several reboots and needing to create a DDNS ID, Password and Domain name we were finally able to get the system set up and configured to our personal preferences. The camera quality is outstanding! Wide view and bright colors in daylight and crystal clear B&W images at night. I've owned two prior systems from another company and I will never go back after seeing the Night Owl perform.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy install We set this security system up inside our shop as we needed indoor security. The setup up was easy , mounting the four cameras took less than an hour. It was easy to connect the cameras to the to the hard drive and app. The pictures are clear and the spotlight is bright when motion is detected. The included power cords are 9ft long so you do need to install close to an electrical outlet. Overall a great security system to keep an eye on your property.

I see there is an SD Slot on the bottom of the camera, what type and size of SD Card is supported? Do the cameras record to both the SD Card and the NVR at the same time or is it one or the other?

The cameras would record to the Wi-Fi NVRs pre-installed HDD. The SD Card slot can be used for optional Image Capture, where a snapshot of a motion event would be stored on the microSD card. Your camera system requires 3Mbps upload speed. I have 2Mbps upload. Will remote viewing just have a degraded picture or will it not work at all?

You would likely experience issues when streaming to your mobile device and attempting to access your system remotely. 3mbps is the minimum recommended speed. We would not recommend using this system with anything less. Thank you.
