I installed this camera for a friend. The video performs correctly. I can hear outside audio on his smartphone, but when we talk, the audio is not broadcast from the camera. Is there a setting in the phone to enable broadcast audio to the camera?

We had the same problem with our doorbell. Tech support was absolutely no help. With some trial and error we found out you literally have to talk directly into your phones mic. I mean really your mouth has to be right up to your phones mic for the people outside to hear you, but once you do that it's clear as day!

In Stand Alone mode can you access and administer the camera from a PC web browser or do you need the night owl app? Also can the images or recordings on the SD card be copied over your wireless network securely (ie HTTPS/SCP) or is it a manual method?

What size SD card do I need to capture a weeks worth (7 days) of continuous video?

Our standalone wireless cameras have the capacity for up to 128GB SD card. Regarding the continuous recording, we are not able to provide specifics for how much space it may take to record a full weeks worth of video due to the amount of variable. Good Afternoon, Thank you for the question. When purchasing a Night Owl product, there is no monthly fees to remotely view your system. Our apps are free to download and compatible with Apple and Android Smart Devices. As soon as motion is sensed, a recording will occur, so long as your system is set to motion record. We do have pre-record options, to ensure you capture the full event. How high do i mount my cameras min. And max

We recommend installing these cameras at least 7 ft. above the ground and angling them slightly down. The cameras work best for side to side movement, as opposed to movement directly to or away from the camera. We do not have a recommended MAX height installation. Thank you for choosing Night Owl!
