Great product, great price!
I have installed multiple sets of these for the client's DVR and they've been working great. They actually do pickup the voice from across the floor even when someone is speaking quietly. Their small size makes them inconspequous, while long wires allow placement in the farthest corners from the DVR.
You also can't beat the price.

Sound great distance is pretty far surprising. After I hooked it up we turned it on an tested it out by stand different places and distances was very surprised. Will for sure be buying another for the other camera

Hi. In the Q&A it says this mic has to be connected to the camera (and not directly to the DVR). How exactly is this mic "connected to the camera"? I don't understand. Your diagram shows no camera. The mic is directly connected to the DVR and power.
The mic comes with a velcro strip so that it can be adhered to the camera. You would then run the cable back to the DVR where you would connect the white RCA connector to an open Audio Input port and the red power connector to the adapter. Thank you for choosing Night Owl!

Is it compatible with the dp8 series? I got it months ago and still havent got to use it!!!
No. Our DP8 Series recorder is not audio capable. Thank you for the question.

It's compatible with DVR-BTD2-8?
No. Our BTD2 DVR does not have audio input ports on the rear. That system has 1-way audio (speaker functionality) but does not record audio for the wired cameras. You can, however, add up to 4 Wi-Fi devices that are capable of recording audio, such as our WNIP2 Wi-Fi IP Cameras and our Smart Video Doorbell. Thank you!

No. Our DP2 Series DVRs are not audio capable. The microphone can only be added to DVRs that have available audio input ports on the rear. Thank you for choosing Night Owl!

can i put a y harness on this mic and add another on to it
This microphone comes with a velcro strap and is intended to be added to a non-audio enabled camera. The cord then connects back to the audio input of the DVR to begin detecting audio. This is the intended setup of the product and all we can guarantee. Thank you!

No. The mic will attach to the camera and connect to the DVR. You will be able to hear audio from a TV/Monitor or remotely via the App. Thank you!
