Bought the HDA-10L-DVR8 set it all up but it is only showing Black & White, not color which I wanted. Did not see anything in manual..

I have the same problem. Only shows black and white even in direct light, I mean full on light during the day and even a high powered flashlight shining directly at the camera. An answer would be very helpful.

How many hours does the memory holds

Depending on the number of cameras you have connected to the DVR and the recording resolution of those cameras, generally: 500 GB = up to 6 months of recording 1 TB = up to 12 months of recording 2 TB = up to 24 months of recording The more cameras you have connected to the DVR, the shorter this time frame. Additionally, the higher the resolution the shorter the time frame. To maximize the time frame, please switch your recording schedule to motion record, as opposed to 24/7 record. Night Owl's DVRs/NVRs can accommodate up to a 6TB hard drive. Our DVRs are compatible with internal SATA HDD's, 2.5" or 3.5". The HDD should have a minimum of 7200 RPM. We are not able to guarantee compatibility with external hard drives at this time. Thank you for choosing Night Owl!

Hi Jessica. You can always login to the DVR and go to the Playback Menu. From there you can search recordings. Unfortunately, our systems are set to auto-overwrite by default. This means, when the HDD becomes full, it automatically begins overwriting old footage. Recordings from 2 months ago may or not not be there, depending on how long it takes your HDD to fill up. HDA is not standard so what are your analog HD products: HD-SDI, AHD, HD-CVI and/or HD-TVI?

HDA is the same thing as AHD. It stands for High Definition Analog and AHD stands for Analog High Definition. The letters were just swamped around for the newer models that have a slightly different design. Thank you for choosing Night Owl!

Perhaps a power adapter has failed or there is a bad cable connection? Hello, you are correct, this system supports up to 8 cameras. and this will need to have an internal DVR to record locally. the only option this DVR has to use an external Hard Drive is to back up all recordings to it. Best Regards.

We originally bought the Night owl WM-845-4CM624 several years ago and absolutely loved it.  We used it all the time until the unit went out.  Our camera's are still good, but we need to replace the unit itself.  Will this unit work with my camera's?

when motion is detected on a camera do the dvr display to full screen. This what I had on my old Falcon unit that I purchased several years ago. I loved it.

My dvr model# L-DVR16-5GB keeps rebooting after about 30 seconds of being on. I can not even get to the main menu to do anything before it reboots again. Is the memory full, or is the hard drive bad, or is something else going on?
