Do u need internet to run system

To connect to a TV or monitor, no. All you need to do is hardwire the compatible DVR to the TV using the provided HDMI cable. If you would like to remotely view the system on a smart device, PC or Mac, then yes you will need to connect the DVR to a router or modem via Ethernet cabling. Thank you for choosing Night Owl!

This 4 Pack of HD cameras will require a compatible DVR to work. The only time consuming portion of installation is running the cabling, which hardwires the camera to the DVR. What do I need to purchase to utilize this camera system? I saw the package contents, but need to know what else to purchase so this can be installed upon arrival.

Our DVR systems comes with everything needed for setup. However, each camera comes equipped with a 60 ft. BNC cable. So, if you need to push a camera further out from the DVR you will want to buy some extension cables and some spare camera power adapters. If your tv or monitor does not have an HDMI port, you will need to buy a VGA cable. Additionally, the HDMI and Ethernet cable included are each 6 ft. If your need more length, you can purchase a longer cable. What are the differences between the AHD10W-BU-TU and HDA10W-BU-TU cameras?

The specifications for each are very similar. Chief difference is the housing. The AHD 1080p bullet cameras have a metal housing. The HDA 1080p bullet cameras have a polycarbon housing. Thanks for choosing Night Owl!

Are the cameras motion sensor? Do they record when they sense motion?

You can set the cameras to record on both mode, motion and normal(continuous). When set on motion the cameras record when there is a motion in the camera's field of view. When set on normal, the cameras record 24/7 and capture everything in their field of view. Thank you for choosing Night Owl SP.
