The 4K Experience

View your world in 4K! Night Owl’s 4K Ultra HD wired IP home and business security cameras provide the stunning image quality you crave. With this extreme resolution, you see intricate details with superior clarity and detect threats with precision. At 4K (8MP) resolution (3840 pixels x 2160 pixels), you will experience four times the resolution of standard 1080p. More pixels mean more information, producing stunning video quality with sharp definitive lines.

Add-On Cameras

These 4K add-on cameras must be connected to a compatible Night Owl® NVR. The cameras do not function as stand-alone cameras. Each camera includes a 100 ft. Ethernet cable to connect it to the NVR. The cameras are compatible with Night Owl’s IC8 Series NVRs.

Real-Time Motion Alerts to Your Smart Device (Requires Compatible Night Owl® NVR)

These 4K cameras utilize motion detection to alert you to potential threats. When an event is detected, you receive a real-time alert to your Smart Device. Ensure you are notified of potential threats, no matter where your travels take you. Receive a real-time motion alert directly to a Smart Device when motion is detected in the selected zone. Save and share recordings and images from the App. Talk about true home and business security.

L2 Color Boost® Technology with Night Vision

Hold off the darkness! With Night Owl’s L2 Color Boost® Technology your home and business security cameras continue recording in full-color as light fades to darkness. These cameras capture full-color video in low-light settings, only switching to Night Vision if necessary. The low-light (L2) sensors produce detailed full-color video even as light fades away. When the light fades to darkness, the cameras continue recording using black and white Night Vision with up to 130 ft. of visibility.

Weather-Resistant Cameras for Indoor/Outdoor Use

Keep an eye on your world both indoors and outdoors. This flexibility provides your property with the coverage it needs. These home and business security cameras are for use indoors/outdoors. They are weather-resistant to withstand moisture and dirt debris (placing the camera under an eave is recommended). The cameras are cold climate capable down to -4° F.

Will the 4K cameras work on my 1080 system? The model of my DVR is DVR-AHD10B-81-RS-2

No. Your AHD10 Series DVR is capped at 1080p resolution and will not support 4K cameras. Additionally, these are wired IP cameras which will not function with our wired DVRs. Thank you.

My Home is currently wired for a camera system, it is not the standard Cable, but some smaller wire with a plug on the end and the other end at the future camera location has no plug. How do I fine out what system will work best with the current set up.

Do the cameras need to be protected by an overhang or eve? Can they be mounted to the side of the building exposed to precipitation?

They need to be somewhat shielded for outdoor use. If they are left overexposed to the elements, it will cause damage to the cameras and shorten their lifespan. Thank you for choosing Night Owl!

Are the 659 TVL cameras compatible with the 4k camera system

No. The only cameras that are compatible with this model are the IC8 cameras that come with the system. We do sell the IC8 cameras separately should you wish to add more. Thank you for choosing Night Owl!
