I was sceptical of a home security camera system that came packaged all in one easy to carry box. But I gave this system a chance and boy am I glad I did. I finally have piece of mind knowing I have Night Owl watching over my home. Now i just need to get 2 more cameras to complete all 8 channels. Forget the rest try the best "Night Owl"

I am so impressed with this system the cameras a so powerful and the night vision is really great, The phone app is nice so I can keep an eye on my house when out I would recommend this system to anyone who asked me.

Can I upgrade the BNC cable from the DVR to Camera with a 1080P-5MP BNC to RJ45 Adapter with Power. I would like to replace the BNC cabling with Cat5e/Cat6 Cable.

I am getting this system to add cameras and utilize the 8 camera capability. I currently have 1080p cameras installed. Are they compatible with this DVR?

Hi, just trying to get some clarifications on the recording/storage. Can it do 24/7 recording. Will this unit be able to overwrite very old footage in order to maintain storage. If not, how will I be able to save old storage and continue with 24/7 monitor
Yes, 24/7 is an option, though the HDD will fill up faster. Yes, auto-overwrite is selected by default. We also have a USB backup option so you can backup select recordings. Thank you for choosing Night Owl!

Does this system have the capability to speak through each camera and to hear the audio through the app like the wireless single night owl camera?
The cameras included with this product are not audio enabled. Not all Night Owl cameras are audio enabled. Please check the product's specifications. can we expand the storage with an external hard drive or is there larger storage options available?
Most Night Owl DVR/NVRs can accommodate larger hard drives. See your product Specifications for the max size. Our DVR/NVRs are compatible with internal SATA HDD's, 2.5" or 3.5". The HDD should have a minimum of 7200 RPM. We are not able to guarantee compatibility with external hard drives at this time. Thank you for choosing Night Owl!

Are you able to program/set times for system/cameras to record? Would like to record only during off business hours if possible
Absolutely. Simply access the record menu within the DVR and you can schedule the recording timeframe for each camera, or create it for one and copy it over to the others. Please refer to your product manual for more information.
