I purchased the night owl system after seeing a demonstration at a local store and was very impressed . two nights after installing the cameras we caught someone trying to steal one of my classic cars witch is my 1981 z28 turned in the video to the authorities and about a week later the police knocked on my door to inform me that the group of people that were vandalizing and stealing peoples property were apprehended due to the video I gave them . so yes I give night owl 5 stars and the 1080 picture is amazing Eddie

Rated 5 out of 5 by The Writer from Skeptic I was leary about purchase a security system but for various reasons I needed to monitor my home and business. I installed myself and the bottom line... this system is excellent. Although not a million dollar system, any bad review that I read were more for peoples lack of know how. Like most things today, if you want the best performance you have to tweak it. The software gives you a lot of custom ability. The cameras are mostly plug and play, I recommend that you take your time and do it right. Firmly mount your cameras and run the wire. One camera is a bit glitchy during night vision but it is under warranty. This is a great system. If your not computer savvy, then find an installer or a friend that can install for you. The price is unbeatable and I would rec this product to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Volsdude from Great System I purchased this system from Bestbuy a week ago and the set up/install was very easy. I'm still learning a few things with the system and I'm overall very pleased with it. The only issue I'm having with it is that the time keeps resetting back to an hour a head of my actual time. I'm not sure if I didn't set something up properly or not. Anyhow the system is great and well worth the money. I definitely would recommend this product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by mahvin from Hip Roof Soffits Reduce Effectiveness of NV Day time video is fabulous, but unfortunately due to the soffits on my ranch home being so low to the ground, it reduces the Night Vision effectiveness because the cameras are so close to the soffit. It's great that the soffit protects the cameras from the elements, but it reduces low light capability when the soffit reflects the light in the top view. It would nice to somehow adjust the field of view with software to increase the effectiveness, but from my experiences with dealing with security cameras, you'll have to spend more money to get the better quality cameras that are adjustable. Does this mean my current NV HD cameras are ineffective totally? No. Not at all, but if you want a better field of low light cameras, you'll need to spend more for the upgrades.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ftohm from Really Impressed I have a system I bought at Costco 3 years ago and it has been a great system. I had 4 cameras and wanted to add a couple more. I read the reviews how they cut down on the recordings when bugs and bees fly by so I ordered 2 to try them out. I replaced 2 of my original ones in prominent locations and am very happy. It dramatically reduced the number of recordings and the Night Owl 2.0 cameras have much better image quality than the originals. I will replace my other 2 with the new models also. Here is an image with the new camera on a rainy dreary day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nik7 from If I could give them 6 stars I would I bought this product for my home to keep a live monitor while I wasn't there. The quality of the picture is really good but what has astounded me is their customer support. I have had them on live chat 4 or 5 times with different concerns thus far and they have FAR exceeded my expectations. As it stands I need to get a few of my cables replaced and they are currently sending out more to my address. I would recommend this to ANYONE looking for a camera system but more than that, when they say 24/7 support they are sincere. Thank you Night Owl.
