Unable to see the cameras thru iOS and android App. It's been like this for like a month now.

I would appreciate a straight forward answer to this one. How do I reset the password on my AHD7-DVR8-2TB system? Please don't tell me to re-download and configure. Thank you.

I have the AHD7-DVR8-2TB model and I need to download appx 60 hours of recording from one channel. How large of memory on thumb drive will I need?

Good morning. That amount of video takes up about 1.3TB of disk space, which is much more than any available USB flash drive. I would suggest connecting to your system through a computer with the Night Owl HD CMS software, and downloading the footage to a large external hard drive through the application. This method uses the computer as a throughput device from your DVR to the external hard drive and is the easiest for downloading large amounts of footage. Thanks for choosing Night Owl.

Can the video be trimmed and exported to give to the police when I have to?

Good Afternoon, Yes, you can absolutely trim the video and back it up to a USB drive. When you are playing back a video within your Playback menu you should see a pair of scissors. Click on the scissors and then back up the trimmed video to a formatted USB drive. Thanks for choosing Night Owl.

my dvr is set to alarm when motion is detected which is fine. but its not recording the motion times for playback. it is recording 24/7 but i would like to also have the motion playback times in playback mode.

i set up my user name and password to log into system, i downloaded the app and scan the barcode. when i enter the password i get password error,but this same user name and password allows me to log in system. Can i get some help?

The username and password must both match. If the APP is giving you an error message of this sort, it is because the username and password are not matching. By default the username should be admin. If you changed the username, please use what you changed it to. If not, then ensure you are using admin. If this does not work, verify you are in fact entering the correct DVR password. If neither of these work, try re-downloading and configuring the APP. Thanks for choosing Night Owl.
