Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unbelievable extras This unit has controls, safety features, and settings that I didn't even know existed. Alarms to notify you if the camera is blocked or covered, or if the signal is cut. Graphs that let you block out things that constantly move like trees so they don't activate the motion sensor... and the clarity and zoom capability is excellent. No problem what-so-ever zooming in on the expiration month on a license plate. Oh, and Cat 5 installation made this unit a breeze to install. Couldn't be happier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Oh man, this is SO AWESOME! Can't get any better! Ok I'm supposed to write a review so a potential buyer can make a more informed purchase. I'm going to make it easy. If your looking at an HD 4-Channel, 4-camera, 1 TB system with Night Vision you CANT do better than this system. Why, you ask? Here's why. The Quality(A) The craftmanship and materials are premium. The extras(B) It has a mouse, a remote, and this system is fully inclusive with VERY long wires for the cameras. Function(C) Great HD picture quality with seem less integration between channels. This is a system that works, and works well. I would be surprised to find and ANY bugs in the firmware. The Value(D) Bang for the buck all things considered, especially ease of use and the quality of the craftsmanship, you can't get more for less, PERIOD. This is the coolest thing ever. EASY setup, any dummy can do it!!!! Love it folks!!!! Robert Clark in Cleburne, Texas, yup that's ma name.

My system hasn't been used for about a year. I don't remember the user name and password. Can this NVR7P-441 be reset so that I start using it again? Also, one camera does not work. Can I purchase a replacement?

Does they system have to stay connected to ethernet cable all the time for remote viewing or what is the bar code for?

Good Afternoon, Yes, the NVR has to be manually connected to your Modem/Router in order to remotely view the system. The bar code is a QR Code for easy setup on a smart device! Thanks for choosing Night Owl!

Can I use this without internet.

The system only needs to be connected to a modem/router if you wish to view it remotely on a PC/MAC or a smart device. In order to remotely view your system, you must physically connect an Ethernet cable from your modem/router to the DVR. If you do not want remote viewing, you can simply connect the system to a TV or computer monitor to view live video feed and recordings. Thanks for choosing Night Owl.

I have the NVR7P-441 with 4 cameras. I need to replace one now after 2 years. You show nothing on your web site that is similar to the digital poe 720p cameras that came with the unit. Can you recommend some replacements?

Hi. I have this system with one problem. All 4 cameras work during the day and 3 work during the night. One will not show anything it's a blank screen. Has this problem been reported by anyone else? If so what would be the remedy.

Thank You for contacting Night Owl I apologize, that you been having issues with one of your cameras at night time. due to the symptoms by the camera, it seems like a power splitter cable issue. this can be easily checked by changing power feed cable (red lead) from the camera in question to another good know camera power feed cable. If the camera in question has good night vision then the power splitter cable will need to be replaced. Please call Night Owl Tech support to get further assistance with this issue at 1866-390-1303 please press option 4 during the call prompts menu. Best Regards.
