We have 6 cameras from the Zeus series w/o a DVR component. Can we order 1 for those cameras? We want to purchase the 8 camera w/DVR 720 resolution. Can we get compatable system for all these cameras?

We no longer sell the Zeus DVR. However, most of our newer DVRs are compatible with standard analog cameras. So, simply find a system that you like that is expandable (meaning you can add more cameras onto it) and then you should be set. We have multiple 720p, 1080p, 3MP and 5MP systems available on our web-store. With the exception of our THD Series, your existing cameras will be compatible with all of them. Thank you!

Can you get audio with this dvr

new system one day old camera 7 was flickering on & off now it is off . I checked the connections at the DVR but no luck it is still off

To determine whether your camera is defective, try these simple troubleshooting steps: 1) Ensure the camera power adapter is plugged in and that the outlet it is plugged into is receiving power. 2) Check to see if the camera is receiving power. To check and see if the camera is receiving power, cover the light sensor (or lens of the camera) with your hand. This causes the camera to activate Night Vision. If the camera is receiving power, the Night Vision LEDs within the camera will glow red. If your camera is equipped with an IR Cut Filter you will also hear a clicking sound. 3) Ensure video cables are properly connected to the DVR / TV. 4) Switch the extension cable that is connected to the camera with another extension cable to check if there is an issue with the extension cable run. can i use existing analogue cables

Yes, this system is backwards compatible. If you have existing BNC coaxial cabling (24 AWG minimum recommended) you can reuse it with this DVR and cameras. Thanks for choosing Night Owl!

I have this model HDA10L-7BU-881. Which cameras are compatible with this model. I need a camera that can be addressed or moved with my phone. What would be the camera that I can buy?

Good Afternoon, We do not currently have a Pan, Tilt, Zoom camera available for this DVR. We do have add-on cameras, but they do not have optical zoom capabilities. Our standard analog, AHD and HDA cameras are all compatible with this DVR. It would depend on the number of cameras you have setup. With all 8 cameras recording, 24/7, your HDD is going to fill up very quick and will begin overwriting old footage. Thanks!

Doesthe dvr have an in built modem to enable for internet connectivity. Also do you have wireless cameras?

Good Afternoon, No, this DVR does not have built-in wifi. In order to remotely view the system, the DVR will have to be manually connected to your modem or router. We do not have any wireless cameras that are compatible with this system. Thanks for choosing Night Owl!

Good Afternoon, Currently, all of our cameras switch to black and white when they enter Night Vision mode.
