CONFUSING COMPLEX set up AFTER all the cameras are connected (the easy part) You have to create an admin password and must connect to internet using Ethernet cable (can use a range extender with Ethernet port) if ur modem is in another room. .. anyhow once connected to internet you are asked to download the mobile app .. fine ..but I still cannot view my live feed or figure out how to record / playback or pretty much do anything once connected because the options given don't make sense and the manuals are bulky and confusing. I'm starting to get REALLY frustrated ..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am a fan Two things I like about this Night Owl: 1. Cameras are high quality, well built. The quality of the picture is good. You should set the downstream to HD to get clearer picture. 2. It's very easy to set up. It took me only a few minutes to download the app to my phone, scan in the code on the DVR, and I was ready to view the video on all of my cameras through my phone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from NAS Server or Cloud recording Hi, Is there a way to record directly on a NAS server or get a scheduled backup on a cloud or NAS server ? Overall, pretty satisfied. Base set up is pretty easy but gets frustrating when you go on a more personalized set up. Quality of cameras 10/10.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very Good... But need help with the Live View. My Mom bought the Night Owl HD 1080p in the U.S. and brought it here in the Philippines. Already installed it and downloaded the app for remote viewing through mobile phone or iPad. We followed every step on how to configure. First day it worked. But the following day, we can't view it already on our iPad/phones. We used the scan and also the IP Address but same result. Please help. Thanks!

How do i change my dvr password from the one my installer chose

What I want to know is if it will e-mail me with an alert if it detects movement when it's set. I don't see that info listed anywhere.

We purchased the AHD10 model.  Once the DVR is "full" what happens?   Does it just start writing over at the beginning? Thanks!

My dvr stopped working all I see is an owl on the screen and I can't do anything. There's power because the cameras red lights still come on at night. Since yesterday all I get is no signal on my screen. The dvr also stopped making noise no pwer to mouse

Can I use a 5 amp camera power adapter (4 cameras splitter)? I attempted to use the power adapter sent with the system ( 1.5 amp) and could not get the 4 cameras to work ( No Signal) until I unplugged the power from one of the 4 cameras. 3 worked fine.

Yes, you can use a larger power adapter. However, you could be experiencing an issue with a bad adapter or power splitter. If you have not extended a camera further than 60 ft from the DVR, then you should not be having this issue. Please contact our 24/7 tech support team to troubleshoot. Does it need internet to install because i dnt have imternet capability

No, you do not need Internet. You can connect the DVR to a TV monitor for viewing and to access the DVR menu. However, without Internet, you will not be able to remotely view the system on a smart device, PC or Mac. Thank you for choosing Night Owl!
