CONFUSING COMPLEX set up AFTER all the cameras are connected (the easy part) You have to create an admin password and must connect to internet using Ethernet cable (can use a range extender with Ethernet port) if ur modem is in another room. .. anyhow once connected to internet you are asked to download the mobile app .. fine ..but I still cannot view my live feed or figure out how to record / playback or pretty much do anything once connected because the options given don't make sense and the manuals are bulky and confusing. I'm starting to get REALLY frustrated ..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am a fan Two things I like about this Night Owl: 1. Cameras are high quality, well built. The quality of the picture is good. You should set the downstream to HD to get clearer picture. 2. It's very easy to set up. It took me only a few minutes to download the app to my phone, scan in the code on the DVR, and I was ready to view the video on all of my cameras through my phone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from NAS Server or Cloud recording Hi, Is there a way to record directly on a NAS server or get a scheduled backup on a cloud or NAS server ? Overall, pretty satisfied. Base set up is pretty easy but gets frustrating when you go on a more personalized set up. Quality of cameras 10/10.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So easy to setup and use I helped my friend install and setup her system and in less than 5 minutes I had her camera feed on her smartphone. I had the Bunker Hill system from Harbor freight and have been trying to get the feed on my phone for over a year now. Needless to say I went and got this system the next day. No rewiring of my old system, just switched out the cameras and dvr and bam I was seeing my feed on my smartphone, tablet and laptop. Thank you!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very Good... But need help with the Live View. My Mom bought the Night Owl HD 1080p in the U.S. and brought it here in the Philippines. Already installed it and downloaded the app for remote viewing through mobile phone or iPad. We followed every step on how to configure. First day it worked. But the following day, we can't view it already on our iPad/phones. We used the scan and also the IP Address but same result. Please help. Thanks!

Greetings, this model works with Android Night Owl Pro? I ready have this App working with some DVRs and like to buy new one. but try to keep same android app. Thanks for any advice. Regards.

My daughter has installed in AHD10-841 in her office, the apple app worked correctly for a month, now she does not connect, only the cameras are seen in her office, the iPhone app appears disconnected. Could you help me find the solution?

Several days ago, we experienced two downed servers. This affected some of our customers ability to connect. These two servers are back up and running and you should be able to reconnect. Please reboot the DVR. Then, uninstall and re-install the App. After the App is re-installed, you will need to quickly configure it to your DVR. Thank you for choosing Night Owl!

Already have system HDA10P-10BU-882-BB & am considering AHD10-841 as well. Would like all cams to be usable with either DVR & am finding conflicting info on this. What is the difference between AHD & HDA systems & will the cams interchange freely?

The cameras are completely interchangeable with these two systems. They are both the same technology. AHD stands for Analog High Definition whereas HDA stands for High Definition Analog. The HDA is just a newer, sleeker, model. Thank you for choosing Night Owl!

Our night owl DVR model 841-a10 stopped working. Can we order a replacement DVR and power supply without the cameras? I believe it is past the warrenty period.
