Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Product I have an old 4 channel system from a competitor and this new 8 channel 4 camera system from Night Owl is far better than my old super expensive system. The Night Owl cameras work much better than the old cameras and you can see in low light with the Night Owl cameras. My old system cameras claim you can see up 100ft but you're lucky if you can see 20ft with those. This system is not so big and clunky like my old system and it has 2 times the memory. I liked it so much, I bought another Night Owl system of the same model. As an advanced user, it is easy to set up but you have to read the instructions just like anything else. I just set up my 2nd system and have both running through the PC and tablet.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER I bought this system in November and it is now July and I still do not have working cameras for my security system, I have contacted Night Owl 22 times because my cameras were very fuzzy, not in color during the day and the cord from the DVR to the cameras was so hot to the touch I could not hold it for more than 5 seconds, I still do not have replacement cameras which I was told they would send me. They asked me disconnect all of my cameras and test them after we initially installed them before they could proceed with resolving my issue. My issue is still not resolved. Don't waste your money!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Happy with the product Got this about a week ago and so far so good besides the network set up If you're not familiar with stuff like that good luck!!! You will need it. Other then that I'm stoked Already caught the neighbors dog getting in our trash. Easy to go back and view footage Vary user friendly on that part of the system.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great system but.... I think that this is a very good system but i bought camera WM-CAM-HDA10W-DMA because the box to it says it works with any hd analog dvr except AHD7. I hooked it up and discovered that it does not work woth my dvr. Im confused why the box to my system says HD and up to 1080p display when you cant use a 1080 camera. What is the point of the ability to play back 1080 if a 1080 camera wont work. I lost the receipt so now i have a very expensive decoy camera

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cannot believe I wasted my money I would Give this produce no stars if possible. I bought this plus 2 additional sets of 2 so I have 8 cameras hooked up to an 8 channel dvr. And I have replaced 7/8 cameras because they all had moisture in them when I bought them. All the replacements seemed to work for the first 12 hours then they all started getting moisture in them and fogging up the screen. I have since found out via online forums to open the camera and dry out the moisture I have done this twice within 6 hours, it has not even rained since I got them. In addition to all of that my interior camera had a night vision error. 1 of the initial 4 that came with the dvr had a broken mount and therfor had to be replaced causing me to get in my addic a second time and remove all the wires just to take it back. I have been forced to do so much more work than needed because the product was poorly manufactured. I have installed many security systems at my businesses and homes, this was my first attempt at night owl but I just wish I got what I paid for, if I wanted a cheap home security system I would have gone through a competitor on Amazon and gotten twice the cameras for half the cost but now I'm forced to keep night owl at this location due to the fact I'm not rerunning the wires through my addic for a different brand. I truthful hope night owl finds a way to wright this wrong as I am so upset with the poor quality

Can I hook up a 1000tvl analog camera to this dvr?

We do not currently have the exact cameras that came with the system available. They are no longer being manufactured. I sold my camera system and I can't cancel my account, so the person who bought my cameras can't make his account. How can I cancel my account ?

You cannot cancel the ADMIN account, as that is the default user of the DVR. You can elect to remove additional users (admin aside) by navigating to the System Menu and User submenu. Also from this menu, you can change your password. Further, you should reformat your HDD within the Device menu.
