I recently have been getting horizontal lines in a few of my video feeds. It seems to move around from one to two feeds. What would cause this? I never had this when it was hooked up a year ago..

How long does the system keep recordings?

Dear customer, this is a good question, relating storage in your DVR unit,
the storage will vary depending on the resolution of the cameras per example;
the higher the resolution the bigger the video files and therefore the storage will be filled up faster on your hard drive.
the lower the resolution of the cameras the longer the DVR Storage will take to get filled up.
It also depends on the amount of traffic (movement)
that these cameras will capture, as Night Owl DVR s will record on motion by default.

one of my camera has a large dark spot showing when viewing, how can I get a replacement?

Please check the lens of the camera to ensure nothing is on it. You will need to manually inspect the camera. If there is nothing on it, try adjusting the color on the camera. To adjust the color settings of your cameras you must login to your DVR and click on the Camera icon within the Main Menu. Next, click on Setup within the Settings tab. From there you can adjust the Hue, Brightness, Contrast and Saturation of each camera. *Please ensure you select the appropriate channel you are wishing to reconfigure. Then click Save and exit out of the Main Menu. If that doesn't you will need to contact tech support.
