The maximum distance is 60 feet for the camera unless you have a camera power adapter. How far does the camera power adapter extend the range.

By purchasing an extra power adapter, for that individual camera, you can push the camera up to 180 ft. from the DVR using BNC cabling. Thanks for choosing Night Owl!

Does power need to be run for each camera separately?

Good Afternoon, Each camera will need to be connected to a power supply. However, your system comes with a 4-Way power splitter that allows up to 4 cameras to be connected to one camera power adapter. Thanks for choosing Night Owl.

What is the maximum cable length that can be run on a camera

Good afternoon, Dear customer, the maximum cable length is 60 ft for optimal video transmission, if you do require to go over long distances, you will need to install a camera power adapter at the camera location this will avoid video degradation. and optimize Night Vision capabilities. What would cause channel 1 to not record, when 2, 3, & 4 are recording

How do the cameras hold up in salt air?

Good afternoon. We have received the following reply from our Engineering team: "The cameras are rated for outdoor use." When you place your cameras outside, Night Owl strongly recommends that you place them under an eave or awning or shelter of some kind to protect them from being overly exposed to the elements. It says it has 24 LED lights for night vision does that mean the lights come on when they are active or is it discreet night vision?
