Hi, I have DVR-FS500 - I think it supports only analog camera -- would this support HD camera's as well? if yes - what type of camera should I buy? Appreciate your answer

I have this exact DVR like the FS-8500 with all of the exact same settings and functions just like Harbor Freight Bunker Hill Security 68332 DVR. However, it is a 4-channel system. Can I use the firmware from here to update the BunkerHill DVR?

My NightOwl FS-8500 is not showing the menu,the date and is not recording. The cameras work and i can see everything, but the menu is gone with everything else. I have done the reset by pushing the buttonand removed the inner battery, but still the same.

I've reconnected my night owl fs-8500 today after quite a while.  Dvr and cameras work, but I cannot login.  It's asking for device id but I cannot find the sticker mentioned in another question. Is it possible to derive the ID from the serial number?
